Cunningham leaves C&W for CBRE

Andy-CunninghamAndy Cunningham, head of office agency for Cushman & Wakefield in Glasgow and one of Scotland’s most highly regarded agents, is leaving to join CBRE.

The former partner had been at Cushman & Wakefield for a decade, having previously been a director at Lambert Smith Hampton. He returns to CBRE where he spent two years at the start of his career.

Cunningham will join as a senior director in CBRE’s advisory and transaction services team in Glasgow.

Cunningham follows Edinburgh-based Steven Newlands to CBRE, who left C&W in February to become the company’s head of capital markets in Scotland.

Miller Mathieson, head of CBRE Scotland, said:  “Andy is a highly regarded expert in Scotland and will add considerable firepower to our existing team. He has strong client relationships in both Scotland and London and a fantastic track record of dealing with major leasing, tenant representation and development instructions. Notably, he recently acted for State Street in securing its new Edinburgh HQ at Quartermile.

“It is particularly pleasing that someone of Andy’s experience has chosen to further his career at CBRE. His appointment is further evidence of our commitment to recruit best-in-class individuals who will have an immediate impact on the teams they join and, importantly, the wider business.

“The full team of Audrey, Andy, Alistair Urquhart, David Reid and Rachel Docherty will be a force to reckon with, particularly given the strong links between our Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen teams.”

David Davidson, chair of Scotland at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Our award-winning office agency team in Scotland has been instrumental in some of the largest and most significant deals in the market. Whilst we are sorry that Andy is moving on, it will be business as usual as we continue providing outstanding service to our clients. We would like to thank Andy for his contribution to the business over the years and wish him all the best for the future.”
