An extension to the Tate Gallery St. Ives, built into the cliff face, will provide an extra 500m² of space.
Locals will benefit from the provision of additional car-parking spaces and public access to a roof garden which also provides an easier route to the beach.
The extension is due to open in October; the existing gallery has also undergone a refurbishment.
