The Office Group has been granted planning permission to develop a 92,000 sq ft flagship building by the River Thames at Tintagel House on Albert Embankment in Vauxhall, SE1.
The 12-storey Stanton Williams redevelopment was bought by TOG from the Reuben brothers in 2015. It was occupied previously by the Metropolitan Police and was the location of its first police computer in the 1960s.
Work has begun on site and is due to complete by the end of 2017.
Tintagel House is the largest property in TOG’s portfolio of 34 buildings, 32 of which are in London. In total, TOG has more than 1.2m sq ft and a community of more than 15,000 members.
A 25% stake in TOG is currently up for sale through Rothschild.
Charlie Green, co-chief executive of The Office Group, said: “Our starting point was a building with good natural light and stunning views, directly on the Thames. We think the building will add to the regeneration of Vauxhall, offering an affordable, flexible place to work, open to everyone.”
