Tritax beats target with £350m issue 

Tritax Big Box REIT has raised £350m in its latest placing on the stock market, £150m more than its target of £200m.

The net proceeds of the issue will be used to buy further assets within six months of admission.

Richard Jewson, non-executive chairman of Tritax, said: “We continue to believe that the big-box logistics sector is one of the most attractive asset classes in the UK property market and this fundraising will enable the company to pursue attractive investments.”

Colin Godfrey, partner of Tritax, said: “The company is engaged in discussions with owners of a number of attractive assets and the proceeds from this fundraising will allow us to pursue an identified pipeline of opportunities that we believe will be value-accretive to shareholders over the medium term.”

Jefferies International and Akur are acting as joint financial advisers and Jefferies is acting as sponsor, sole global co-ordinator and bookrunner on the issue.
