Former Savills residential research director Susan Emmett has joined Policy Exchange as head of housing and urban regeneration.
She will be working with former deputy mayor for housing Richard Blakeway at the think tank, who is the unit’s chief adviser.
Emmett said: “No issue is more pressing than the need for more good quality housing. I look forward to working with Ric Blakeway and the team to deliver fresh ideas that are practical, pragmatic and bring together key players across the development industry, public sector and government.”
Emmett has 20 years experience of analysing, and commenting on housing and the UK property market. Before working at Savills she was deputy property editor at The Times, where she launched the Bricks and Mortar property section.
