AEW UK REIT posts portfolio value rise

AEW UK REIT’s portfolio value up AEW UK REIT’s portfolio value rose by £5.8m, to £137.8m from £132m, during the four months to 30 May 2017.

The company recorded an NAV of £118.7m, or 95.98 pence per share, on 30 May, up slightly from £118.2, or 95.62pps on 31 January.

During the period AEW acquired a multilet industrial unit in Basildon for £4.55m, equating to a yield of 7.8% and a capital value of £66 per sq ft.

The company also bought a 33,000 sq ft single-let industrial building at Pipps Hill Industrial Estate in Basildon, let on a new 10-year lease at a passing rent of £6 per sq ft.

It also let Unit 1003 at Sarus Court Industrial Estate in Cheshire at £5.25 per sq ft.

After the period the company acquired the final unit at Sarus Court for £2m, and sold its remaining units in the AEW UK Core Property Fund for £7.62m.

It now owns all of Sarus Court, which comprises industrial units sized between 11,000 and 17,000 sq ft.
