An Airbnb service that came into effect in the US yesterday, and is aimed at helping refugees and aid workers find accommodation, could come to the UK later this month.
Airbnb’s Open Homes website will allow users to offer rooms or vacant houses, providing stopgap accommodation while a permanent home is located.
The International Rescue Committee is among the charities involved in the scheme.
