N Brown ups revenue but announces shop closures

N Brown recorded a 5.6% rise in revenue in the 13 weeks ended 3 June, but also announced it would close five loss-making Jacamo/Simply Be branded stores.

The business is being transformed from a catalogue business to a truly online retail proposition, chief executive Angela Spindler said.

The company will retain 10 stores once the five loss-making ones are closed.
