Super-commuters are making a comeback, with some London homeowners selling up to live mortgage free in Scotland.
Some 25% of buyers of £1m-plus properties in the country last year were from London, and the figure is expected to increase this year.
Savills head of residential for Scotland and northern England, Andrew Perratt, said super commuters benefit from combining a London salary with the significantly lower property values north of the border.
