WEEKEND PAPERS: An end could be in sight in the long-running saga of Sahara Group’s attempts to raise funds for founder Subrata Roy through the sale of London’s Grosvenor House hotel.
The Indian company is in talks with Hamad bin Jassim and Ben Ashkenazy over the purchase of the hotel. It is looking to borrow $550m from bin Jassim and a second investor to refinance the Dreams and Plaza hotels which it owns in New York.
It would sell Grosvenor House to Ashkenazy for £575m.
