Purplebricks reports surging revenues

Purplebricks’ revenue surged 151% to £46.7m, while its UK business made its first operating profit, of £200,000, in the year ended 30 April.

The online estate agency is in a strong position to become the number one estate agent in the UK, chief executive Michael Bruce said. UK revenue is expected to almost double this year, to £80m from £43.2m.

The company is already active in the Australian market, and is looking to launch in the US, initially in California.
