Montagu Evans partner Gary Forster has died after a battle with cancer.
Forster spent over 30 years in the property industry, starting at Westminster City Council, through Hillier Parker (now CBRE) and Turleys. He joined Montagu Evans as a partner on 1 February 2015.
Focusing on mixed-use projects, Forster’s contribution to the growth of Montagu Evans’ planning practice was immediate and material, said the firm, adding that it had been touched by the tributes received from his friends, colleagues and clients, which the firm will continue to support.
His experience included roles with the British Property Federation and British Council for Shopping Centres (now Revo).
Most recently, Forster acted for the Crown Estate on its joint venture with TH Real Estate for the Princesshay leisure project, and on the Landsec/Crown Estate joint venture at Westgate Oxford.
Forster leaves behind his wife Vanessa and three sons.

Gary was an exceptional individual with a real eye for detail and a wealth of industry knowledge and experience. He was well known, much respected and liked throughout the property industry and particularly amongst his friends and colleagues at Montagu Evans.
“In his short time with us, he was a role model to many for his professional and positive approach. Our thoughts are with his loving wife Vanessa and three boys at this most difficult time.”
