Blackstone’s Adelphi fully let

Blackstone’s Adelphi, WC2, is now fully let following a deal with Japan-based beauty company Shiseido.

Shiseido has agreed to take 23,400 sq ft on a 10-year lease at the 330,000 sq ft development located just off the Strand.

Since acquiring the building in December 2012, Blackstone has completed an extensive refurbishment programme of levels 1-13 of the building.

Tenants include Conde Nast, The Economist, A.T Kearney, PetroChina and Finsbury. In total, 270,000 sq ft of leasing transactions have taken place in the past eight months.

Ed Hodgson, director for Blackstone Property Management, said: “Contrary to perceived anxiety caused by political uncertainty, the volume and tenant profile of recent lettings at the Adelphi demonstrates a sustained appetite for premium office space in central London. This demand is coming from a broad range of occupier sectors and business sizes. There remains a flight to quality in the workspace requirements of market-leading occupiers.”

The grade II-listed building retains its original 1930s Art Deco features.

Knight Frank and Cushman & Wakefield are the joint leasing agents for the Adelphi. Lewis Craig acted for Shiseido Group.
