Nick Dunning Associates has bought agency Stirling Ackroyd as it continues its attempt to build a new large-scale estate agency.
Stirling Ackroyd focuses on central London and the city fringe and manages a lettings book with more than 1,400 properties across its six branches.
This is the third acquisition for Nick Dunning Associates, following the acquisition of Adams Property in June and Badger Holdings Group in January.
Launching in 2016 with a private equity investor, the firm intends to become a new player in the lettings agency sector by buying around 20 lettings-focussed businesses every year for the next five years.
It is looking across the UK and is open to working with established management teams that are prepared to stay post-acquisition.
The leadership team consists of chief executive Nick Dunning, sales director Graham Harrison, commercial director Matt Hewitt and chief financial officer Julian Irby, all of whom worked together at Countrywide.
Stirling Ackroyd opened in Shoreditch in 1987, with branches in Bankside, Clerkenwell, Hackney, the West End and Chatsworth Road.
