Developers sought for Kidderminster leisure scheme

Wyre Forest District Council and North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration are seeking a developer for a 120,000 sq ft leisure scheme in Kidderminster, Worcestershire.

The scheme, Lions Fields, will be developed on a three-acre site, Parcel 1, that will be part of the regeneration of the 16-acre Kidderminster Eastern Gateway area. The regeneration will include retail, residential, creative and community uses.

Lion Fields will also provide 580 car parking spaces, a nine-screen cinema, 20,000 sq ft of high street retail and a 24,000 sq ft retail facility for an anchor tenant.

The site will act as an entrance to the wider gateway area and will be the first part of the project bought forward.

The plot formerly contained The Glades leisure centre, which is being demolished by the council.
