WeWork dominance boosts Cushman & Wakefield to top of LOMA league

Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE have WeWork to thank for their top spots in LOMA’s Q2 leasing league table.

C&W climbed up to the top spot from third in Q1, disposing of over 1.4m sq ft of space this quarter, giving the agent an overall market share of 42%.

The agent was involved in the only three deals over 100,000 sq ft in Q2: 283,450 sq ft let to WeWork at Southbank Place, SE1; 140,000 sq ft at 125 Shaftesbury Avenue, WC2, also acquired by WeWork; and 115,680 sq ft at London Fruit & Wool Exchange, E1, to Nex Group.

CBRE, which held on to second place, advised on almost 1.1m sq ft of deals, giving it a 32% market share. It was also involved in the largest deal of the quarter – WeWork at Southbank Place.

Knight Frank fell from the top spot in Q1 to fourth this quarter, despite the number of deals it was involved in rising to 52. Allsop made it into the top 10, climbing from 14th last quarter to eighth in Q2.
