Southwark Council has launched five development partnership opportunities with a total value of £178m to bring forward mixed-used schemes including 381 new homes in the borough.
The five lots over eight sites are part of the Southwark Regeneration in Partnership Programme, which aims to secure investment, attract external housing grants and establish a partnership with developers.
A tender document has been released seeking partners for the sites.
The development opportunities include:
Manor Place, SE17. Residential scheme comprising 56 homes with retained façade and a health centre, café and retail on ground floor.
Braganza Street, SE17. Demolition of existing buildings to comprise six buildings with 33 residential units.
Albion Street Civic Centre site, SE16. A residential new-build of 22 units with proposed medical centre or commercial space on the ground floor.
Albion Primary School land, SE16. A proposed new residential building of 50 mixed-tenure units.
Southwark Park Road, SE16. A vacant former social care day centre where 43 residential units are proposed.
Cherry Garden School, SE16. A new-build residential building with 50 mixed-tenure units and 1,600 sq ft of retail space. The school is due to relocate to a new site.
Beormund Primary School, SE1. Two-part development. The first part is the reconstruction of the new Beormund Primary School to be developed at the former Bellenden School site in Peckham. The second part is the construction of three residential blocks of five to six storeys suitable for private sale or private rental (56 units) in addition to the social (24 units) and intermediate (eight units) housing and a stand-alone five-storey pupil referral unit building. Commercial space to be provided at ground floor in all residential blocks.
