Co-op Bank loses 25,000 current account customers

Some 25,000 current account customers at Co-op Bank closed their accounts in the six months ended 30 June amid concerns about the future of the bank.

The bank nevertheless succeeded in narrowing its loss to £135m.

Over the six-month period, 10 branches were closed and around 900 jobs were cut.
