Prologis to build spec distribution centre at Fradley

Prologis and Wittington Investments are to speculatively develop a 213,482 sq ft distribution centre at Prologis Park Fradley in the West Midlands.

The facility, next to the 562,000 sq ft distribution centre that Prologis is developing for Screwfix, is designed to achieve a minimum BREEAM “very good” accreditation. It will also include a rooftop solar installation that will generate 10% of the building’s regulated energy.

Completion is expected in early 2018.

Andrew Griffiths, managing director of Prologis UK, said: “There is strong demand for modern distribution facilities in the West Midlands. Our customers rely on us to provide modern, high-quality facilities in prime locations, so we agreed with Wittington that this new building at Prologis Park Fradley should be the next step in our speculative programme.”
