An extension to a Victorian mansion in Malvern, Worcestershire, is among the six buildings listed for carbuncle of the year.
The shortlist includes the entrance to Preston railway station, nominated by Steve Webberley who described it as a deadening cake tin slapped on its side.
Student accommodation in Portsmouth, Nova Victoria, a converted former government building and the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station complete the list.
