Ken McCormack (pictured left) has joined Montagu Evans’ Glasgow office as partner and will lead the firm’s Scottish rating work. He joins the firm after 28 years with GVA James Barr where he was senior director and head of rating in Scotland. McCormack chairs the RICS Rating and Local Taxation Group in Scotland.
Sanderson Weatherall has appointed Rob Cohen (pictured second from left) as a partner in its Leeds office. He joins from Colliers International and will be responsible for providing advice to public and private sector clients on business rates liability.
The Manchester office of Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Tim Aitchison (pictured right) as a partner in the project management and consultancy team. Aitchison will be responsible for project managing large industrial redevelopments and refurbishments, and driving the firm’s expansion across the North West.
WYG has appointed Matthew Good (pictured second from right) to the new role of planning director to focus on housing need and delivery. He joins from Home Builders Federation.
Building Services Design has promoted Joel Sawyer to director and head of its Birmingham office. Jo Jones joins the West Midlands office as associate director, and Mark Dyer has been made a director in the Cambridge office.
Farrells architects has appointed Effie Kuan as design partner from Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios. Chris Crombie has joined as an associate from Grimshaw Architects and Michael Faulkner, formerly of PLP, has been appointed as an associate partner.
Maguire Jackson has appointed Lisa Hunt as new homes director. She was previously branch director for Centrick Property and has also worked for Savills and Knight Frank.
Turley has made a series of new appointments and promotions across its North of England offices. In Manchester, Felicity Collins joins as an associate director, from IBI; Jack Dickinson, as an assistant planner from Ainscough Strategic Land; and Adam Buxton as an assistant planner, moving from Turley’s engagement team. In the Leeds office, Dale Greetham has joined as a senior planner from Sport England, and Katie Purdam has been appointed assistant planner. Samuel Blyth has been appointed as an engagement consultant. Andrew Bickerdike has been promoted to director, and Anna Relph, Peter Rowe and Lewis Evans have been made associate directors.
Alder King has promoted Will Grant to associate in its Exeter office. He joined the firm in 2014 to support the growth of the valuation instruction portfolio.
Mayfair Capital Investment Management has appointed Tom Duncan as senior analyst in investment strategy and risk. He was previously an associate director at JLL.
Crown Worldwide Group has appointed Simon Gammell as director of Crown Workplace for UK and Ireland. He will oversee the restructure of Crown Workplace and its strategy for growth in workplace design and fit-out. He joins from Modus where he was projects director.
Bruton Knowles associate Sam Spencer has been appointed to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors president’s panel.
Foundation Home Loans has appointed Cheryl Power as regional account manager for the North of England.
Retail property consultancy FSP has appointed Andy Stringer to lead its retailer location strategy service. He joins from Home Retail Group.
Tom Carpen has joined Barton Willmore as planning associate in its infrastructure and energy team. He previously worked for The Planning Inspectorate advising on large-scale development consent order applications.
Baytree Logistics Properties has appointed Sascha Petersmann as head of Germany. Based in Cologne he will report to managing director Rabih Modad.
Carter Jonas has hired Lachlan Robertson from Savills to lead its planning capabilities in the South West of England. Robertson will work with the Leeds, Oxford, Cambridge and London offices.
NHS Property Services has appointed Martin Steele as chief operating officer, and Michael Kissman as director of corporate services.
GL Hearn has appointed development directors Neil Pickering and Andrew Rennie to the Manchester office to support its national housing strategy and delivery.
Aston Rose has appointed Harry Batt as a graduate surveyor in the property management team.
The Birmingham office of Ashfield Land has appointed Robert Birch as lead director to spearhead growth across the Midlands region.
Law firm Irwin Mitchell has made two new partner appointments in its London office: Adrian Barlow, national head of real estate; and Jeremy Raj, head of residential property.
