Gosport Borough Council has approved Millngate Developments’ plans to regenerate derelict land near Gosport, Hampshire, for a 77,000 sq ft retail/mixed-use development.
The developer has already secured prelets to tenants including Lidl, M&S Foodhall, The Food Warehouse by Iceland, Home Bargains, McDonald’s and Costa.
John Butt, director of LSH, said: “The development of this important site represents a key improvement to the overall retail offer for the residents of the Gosport area. We have been advising the developers over a period of time in establishing the best and most sustainable blend of uses on the scheme.”
The scheme is expected to be trading in time for Christmas 2018.
