Embankment deal helps secure Manchester top spot

The firm leading EG’s Manchester office agents league table hasn’t held the top spot since 2014.

But involvement in one of the biggest deals of the past 12 months has seen CBRE return to pole position, beating JLL which has spent two years at the top of the table.

The 165,000 sq ft letting to Swinton Insurance at 101 The Embankment was the key driver, making up a significant portion of CBRE’s 353,000 sq ft of deals. It also made up almost 60% of joint agent Cushman & Wakefield’s space disposed.

The Embankment wasn’t the only major deal of the year, with 94,000 sq ft being agreed with AJ Bell at 4 Exchange Quay and more than 48,000 sq ft over three floors being let to Kelloggs at Orange Tower.
