WeWork appoints workplace strategy vice president

WeWork has appointed Ronen Journo, Cisco’s managing director of workplace resources for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia, as senior vice president, enterprise and workplace strategy.

Journo, who is due to start in his new role on 7 November, will be responsible for driving WeWork’s enterprise and workplace strategy across Europe, Israel and Australia.

As managing director, workplace resources, at Cisco, Ronen led an EMEAR organisation responsible for the end-to-end provisioning of all corporate real estate and facilities services for a complex portfolio spanning 70 countries and 150 locations.

He said: “After an amazing 20 years at Cisco, it is time for change and I am excited to join a company with a vision that is driving change while revolutionising workplace culture and communities.

“There has already been a shift towards a new way of work, with corporates recognising the value to business of greater flexibility and innovation in how people work. WeWork is accelerating this change.”

WeWork is expanding rapidly in Europe, Israel, and Australia. WeWork will open its first locations in Hamburg, Frankfurt, and Manchester this year, and open in Madrid, Barcelona, Jerusalem, and several other cities in 2018.
