Lambert Smith Hampton has gone live with five more former reservoir sites for Severn Trent Water in Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Rutland.
The online auction will include a 1-acre site at Earl Sterndale in the Peak District (pictured).
After previous lots generated huge public interest, LSH has decided to provide “reserve not to exceed” figures instead of guide prices.
It has also pushed reserves up slightly from previous sales of these assets as it now has more comparable evidence of what they may be worth.
The lots will range from £15,000 to £50,000. Head of auctions Oliver Childs said he hoped this would avoid wasting people’s time and money on due diligence.
“Being more transparent about where the reserve price will sit will also help the consumer who may be less familiar with the auction process and our terminology,” he said.
Bidding opens on 29 November and closes on 30 November.
LSH is also selling a small site near Barnsley, South Yorkshire, for the Homes and Communities Agency on the same date, with a reserve not to exceed £1,000. This will be the HCA’s first online auction.
After piloting its online auction platform with Severn Trent almost two years ago, it has used it for sellers including a major American private equity house, LPA receivers at many of the largest global and UK real estate firms and government bodies at local and national level.
