Cushman & Wakefield poaches CBRE’s Kevin Farrow

Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Kevin Farrow from CBRE as head of UK retail occupier agency.

Farrow has been appointed as a partner and will be focused on growing the firm’s retail occupier services business in the UK and will also work in Europe.

Farrow, previously senior director at CBRE, has more than 35 years’ retail experience, focused largely on the premium, luxury and international retail sectors in the UK market, introducing Victoria’s Secret, Nespresso and Tesla to the UK.

Notable deals include the iconic 50,000 sq ft Victoria’s Secret flagship on Bond Street, W1; De Beers’ first dedicated diamond store, also on Bond Street; the first New Balance global experience store on Oxford Street, W1; and the Tesla flagship at Westfield London, W12, again the first of its type in the world. Farrow recently completed the acquisition of Victoria’s Secret’s 20,000 sq ft store in Glasgow, just as another acquisition – the brand’s Dublin flagship on Grafton Street – prepares to open towards the end of this year.

Justin Taylor, head of EMEA retail at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Technology is changing consumer behaviour, redefining the store footprint and space required by occupiers. Kevin’s addition to the team will strengthen our offering and ensure we are providing the best insight and advice to occupiers, reflecting trends from around the world.”

Farrow, who will join Cushman & Wakefield in the new year, said: “I am excited and energised by the opportunity to join the market-leading retail team at Cushman & Wakefield, adding my core strengths of advice, experience and deal making to the exceptional talents of my new colleagues.”
