British Land has appointed Countryside group chief financial officer Rebecca Worthington and former JLL managing director Alastair Hughes as non-executive directors and members of the audit committee, with effect from 1 January.
Aubrey Adams will step down from the board on 31 December.
Hughes is a former director of JLL, having served as managing director of JLL in the UK, chief executive for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and then regional chief executive for Asia Pacific. He is a non-executive director of Schroders Real Estate Investment Trust.
Worthington is group chief financial officer of Countryside Properties and a non-executive director and chair of the audit committee at Hansteen Holdings. She is a former deputy chief executive and finance director of Quintain Estates and Development and was a non-executive director of Aga Rangemaster Group.
Commenting on the changes, British Land chairman John Gildersleeve said: “I am delighted to welcome two such experienced property professionals to the board of British Land. I would like to thank Aubrey for all his insight and support over the past nine years and wish him well for the future.”
