Property takes to the tables and the high wires for good causes
Poker face
Property poker stars went all in this month at the Palmer Capital’s third annual tournament to raise almost £10,000 for LandAid.
Philip Chanda, director at TC Developments, fought off competition from 60 competitors at the Haymarket Hotel, SW1, with Christoph Wagner, director at TH Real Estate and Anthony Peck, associate at Angle Property having been pipped to the title.
All of the final three gave their £1,750 prize money back to the charity.
Palmer chief executive Alex Price had some of the hardest luck of the evening, crashing out to a royal flush held by Tony Williamson, executive director of Palmer-backed Angle, and last year’s winners Jonny Doulton of Rapleys, Smita Edwards of Forsters and James Good of Angle Property were all knocked out before the final table.
Taking property to the wire
Paul Long from CVN Services successfully completed his first “official” task as new director of the panel management firm-helping raise over £550 to aid the work of the Pituitary Foundation, which provides medical support and information relating to tumours.
Accompanied by his colleagues Ania Szafranska and Jovaria Shah the trio took part in the world’s largest City zip wire challenge at London’s South Bank.
