Taylor Wimpey wins consent for 90,000 sq ft office scheme

Taylor Wimpey, one of the UK’s largest housebuilders, has received planning consent for a commercial scheme with 90,000 sq ft of offices.

The site on Rushworth Street, SE1, close to Southwark Tube station and the Southbank, further confirms the slowdown at the top end of the market, as well as more city fringe locations.

Taylor Wimpey originally gained consent in March 2016 for a residential-led scheme of 47 homes and 27,000 sq ft of office space.

Taylor Wimpey declined to comment.
