Putnam Investments has agreed a deal to occupy the first floor at Legal & General Investment Management’s 16 St James’s Street, SW1.
Putnam has taken 7,148 sq ft at a rent of £100 per sq ft on a 10-year lease with a break option at the fifth year.
The first and second floors in the building have been comprehensively refurbished by Legal & General Investment Management to provide grade-A offices. The ground-floor reception area has been upgraded and the building also features a new Equinox gym.
Levy Real Estate’s James Elliott, who advised LGIM on the letting, said: “Demand for high quality St James’s office space is still strong and we are seeing rents of around £100 per sq ft still being achieved for the right product.”
