Co-working firm Our Space has taken a 13,600 sq ft pre-let at FORE Partnership’s office development on Mount Street in Manchester.
Our Space, which focuses on wellbeing in the workplace for start-ups, freelances and small businesses, has agreed a prelet on the ground and first floors of the building, which has been named Windmill Green.
Launched in Marbella, Spain, Our Space is also set to open locations in Dubai, Miami and Singapore. It will make its debut in the North of England with sites in Manchester and Leeds opening this year.
Basil Demeroutis, managing partner of FORE, said: “Our Space is the perfect fit for Windmill Green. Their philosophy sits very well alongside the environment we are creating and we think they are one of the most exciting co-working operators to emerge.”
Kevan Halliwell, chief executive officer at Our Space, said: “Windmill Green was a natural choice for us given its excellent location in the heart of the city.
“Manchester plays a key role in our desire to bring a distinct and unparalleled workspace experience to the UK’s Northern Powerhouse.”
The 78,000 sq ft building is being pitched as “an innovative and collaborative workspace, designed to energise and inspire”. It is due to open next summer.
A rooftop terrace with views over the city will include an apiary, a cycle hub and living walls.
Knight Frank and Lambert Smith Hampton are the joint agents for Windmill Green and advised FORE on the letting; Colliers International represented Our Space.
