Creation Property Finance, a new property finance advisory firm, has hired Steve Boyle from Legal & General Investment Management.
Boyle, who was a real estate lending manager at LGIM for six years before leaving the company in October, starts his new position this month.
Creation was launched in November by former head of Lambert Smith Hampton’s debt brokerage team Nick Russell. The firm has backing from Fairacre, which has provided funding to help grow the business and act as a consultant. Fairacre’s Oliver Kaufman is a director at Creation.
The business aims to differentiate itself by combining “financial brokerage skills, property knowledge and banking expertise”. It focuses on financing deals in the range of £1m to £50m-plus.
Earlier this week, EG revealed LGIM has hired former Blackstone and Royal Bank of Scotland executive Lorna Brown as head of real estate debt.
