Savills has appointed Joe Shorney (pictured second from right) as head of residential development sales. Based in the Birmingham office, he will head up the newly formed department in the West Midlands, which specialises in the sale of new homes and development consultancy.

Tunstall Real Estate Asset Management has appointed Rebekah Tobias (pictured right) as head of investor relations. Tobias has more than 15 years’ real estate experience and joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where she was responsible for advising pension funds, private equity investors and international corporates.

Montagu Evans has appointed Bryce Stewart (pictured second from left) as a partner in its Edinburgh office. Stewart was previously a director at Colliers International.

The residential team of Colliers International has appointed Nina Davies (pictured left) as director. She will relocate to London from Asia, where she was operations director for the Asia Pacific properties team.

Dalcour Maclaren has promoted Hannah Bloxham and Alice Hammersley to associates and Jimmy Futter to associate financial controller.

DB Symmetry has appointed Matt Claxton as planning consultant. He joins from GVA.

Stephen George + Partners has promoted Michael Barker to senior partner, James Nicholls to managing partner, Ian Yallop to chairman and Justine Chamberlain to finance partner.

Sam Cooke has joined Savills as an associate in the Birmingham office agency team. He joins from Colliers International, where he advised landlords and occupiers.

Workplace expert BW has recruited Joe Garner as contracts manager and Ekaterina Sidyakova as business development manager.

David Philip has joined building consultancy Paragon as a director and head of its new Edinburgh office. Jamie March joins as an associate building surveyor. Both previously worked at Knight Frank.

Cushman & Wakefield has appointed associate Toby Nield from Edwards & Co. Nield joins the office agency team in Manchester and will work on disposals and acquisitions across the North West.

Law firm Pemberton Greenish has appointed Ajoy Bose-Mallick as real estate finance partner in its commercial real estate department.

Leigh Shapiro has joined Irwin Mitchell as partner to its London leasehold enfranchisement and residential property team. She joins from Trowers & Hamlins.

The Bristol office of Lambert Smith Hampton has promoted Tom Dickson and Roxine Foster to senior surveyors, and industrial and logistics surveyor Chris Williams has been made a member of RICS.

Construction and property consultant Linesight UK has appointed Rhonda Curliss as chief communications officer. Curliss joins from HLW and will be responsible for the development of company’s global communications strategy.

Acorn property group has recruited Tobyn Tribbeck as contracts manager to oversee the management of developments across the Bristol region. Luke Burwood joins as group buyer from Velfac, and quantity surveyor Daniel Miles has joined the commercial team.

DWF has appointed corporate partner Laurence Applegate from REN Legal to its corporate practice in London. Applegate has experience in advising clients on private equity, M&A, joint ventures and restructurings.

Rob Watts has joined Avison Young from GVA. He joins as an associate and will focus on industrial agency and development.

Keepmoat Homes has hired Mick O’Farrell as regional managing director to support its presence in the South. O’Farrell has worked for Lovell Partnerships, Kier Group and Wilson Connelly.

U+I has appointed Joanna Axon as development director.  She joins from Sellar Property Group and has 20 years’ experience in commercial development projects.

Rider Levett Bucknall UK has appointed David Litherland as a partner in its Manchester office. Litherland will jointly lead the cost management team with existing partner Ilyas Patel. He previous worked for Deloitte Real Estate.

Ealing council has appointed Tony Clements as executive director of regeneration and housing. Clements is currently director of business and growth and assistant chief executive at Newham council. His role will start in spring.

Knight Frank has established a residential division in Birmingham. Led by Jamie Carter, the new team will cover residential sales across the city centre, Edgbaston, Harborne, Moseley, Solihull, Barnt Green and Sutton Coldfield.

Chris Fry joins Kingsbridge Estates as chief executive from LaSalle Investment Management.

Whittam Cox Architects has promoted Andrew Dabbs to the board of directors and Rachel Bentley and David Turner to associate directors.

Europa Capital has promoted James Brodie to director. Alex Druttman, Joe Otterburn, Michael Daniell and Nicolas Roy have been made associate directors. Elodie McLarty, Nick Temperley and Henrietta Phillips have been named senior associates. Hugo Adams and Oscar Rajkumar have been made associates.

Barton Willmore’s Ebbsflett office has recruited Adam Gostling as planning director, Julian Moat as planning associate, Matthew Black as senior planner and graduate Molly How.
