Home Grown Hotels, the parent company behind the Pig Hotel Group, has revealed plans to open three new sites over the next two years.
The brand, which currently has five sites across the UK (main picture is the New Forest hotel), acquired new properties in West Sussex, Kent and Cornwall for around £30m.
The first of these sites to open will be the Pig at Bridge Place, Kent, which will open in a former 16th Century manor house near Canterbury this autumn. The hotel will have 28 bedrooms.
The South Downs site will open in Arundel, West Sussex, in 2019 and its third new site in Cornwall, the Pig at Harlyn Bay, will open in summer 2019.
Chief executive of Home Grown Hotels, Robin Hutchinson, said: ‘We’ve had a great couple of years, with customers apparently loving what we do.
“Occupancy is in the mid 90%’s in our rural locations and we know from our guests they want more Pigs.
“After searching far and wide for truly unique properties, we really are over the moon about our new Piglets in Kent, Sussex and Cornwall, and can’t wait to get started on this new phase of our development.’
