UniCredit and Bank Leumi seek new London headquarters

Italian bank UniCredit has appointed agents to search for a new 60,000-80,000 sq ft London headquarters.

Cushman & Wakefield is advising the bank, which is currently based at Moor House, 120 London Wall, EC2, where it occupies circa 120,000 sq ft on a lease expiring in 2025 with a break in June 2020.

The financial sector has acquired 2.5m sq ft of office space in London since the EU referendum, according to Knight Frank.

New lease-driven requirements also include Bank Leumi, the Israeli bank, which has instructed Knight Frank to find it a new 25,000 sq ft London office.

The bank is currently based at 20 Stratford Place, W1, where it has a lease break in Q3 2019.

Bank Leumi’s chief operating officer, Dhavarajh Frank, said: “We are not in a position to comment on the bank’s premises except to confirm that we are exploring all suitable options.”

UniCredit, Cushman & Wakefield and Knight Frank declined to comment.
