Savills’ director James Coghill has died aged 48 after a battle with cancer.
Coghill had been with the company since 1994 and was instrumental in developing its housing division.
More recently he was part of the formation of the residential capital markets team of which he was head. He worked with companies including M&G Real Estate, Grainger and APG Asset Management, among others.
He leaves behind a wife and two sons.
Mark Ridley, chief executive of Savills UK and Europe, says: “James was loved and respected by all at Savills and the clients he worked with, and was a wonderful colleague and friend. We will miss him greatly.”
“Our thoughts are with his wife, Amanda, his two sons, Freddie and Thomas, and his wider family.”
A memorial service will take place at 11am on 2 May 2018 at St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London, WC2. All are welcome to attend.
