Grosvenor to co-develop Bond Street Crossrail offices

Grosvenor Britain & Ireland has signed a development agreement with Transport for London to deliver 65,000 sq ft of office space above Crossrail’s Bond Street, W1, station.

The development will provide six floors ranging from 7,000 to 12,000 sq ft and will accommodate more than 650 workers.

It is one of 12 over-station developments planned on the Crossrail line; these are expected to deliver 3m sq ft of office, retail and residential space between Paddington and Woolwich.

Yesterday, Helical announced its development agreement with Transport for London for a £120m over-station office-led scheme at Farringdon East Crossrail station.

Craig McWilliam, chief executive of Grosvenor, said: “By opening up London, Crossrail will bring a wealth of new opportunities for the West End and we are responding by investing in the creation of employment space at what will be one of London’s best-connected addresses.

“We anticipate significant interest in this location given its proximity to multiple transport links and the West End’s retail streets, restaurants and open spaces.”
