Great Portland Estates picks Rose

Great Portland Estates has made chief executive of Royal Bank of Scotland Commercial and Private Banking Alison Rose a non-executive director. Rose is. She has also held a number of other banking and finance roles within the Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest Markets.

JLL names ex-Lloyds Guthrie as chief

JLL has appointed Ian Guthrie as senior managing director in banking and capital. Guthrie spent eight years as managing director and head of commercial real estate and non-core at HBOS and Lloyds

Banking Group before leaving in 2014. He has been a senior adviser to JLL’s UK board for the past 18 months.

Savills get the nod at Wellington Place

Savills has been appointed as joint leasing agent with JLL at MEPC’s Wellington Place in Leeds. The development spans 14 plots including office, retail, leisure, hotel and residential and will total 1.5m sq ft when complete. The Government Property Unit agreed a 378,000 sq ft prelet last year at the scheme.

Hines buys Lone Star’s Dublin scheme

Hines has bought Lone Star’s Chatham & King scheme in Dublin on behalf of the Hines European Core Fund for €165m (£144m). Lone Star sold the mixed-use scheme through an affiliate of the Lone Star Real Estate Fund III. The price represents a 4% yield. Savills and Bannon represented Lone Star; Hines was unrepresented.
