Crown Estate given go-ahead for latest West End project

Westminster Council has given the green light to the Crown Estate’s redevelopment plans for Airwork House on Piccadilly Street in Mayfair, W1.

Designed by architect DSDHA, the plans will see the post-war seven storey building demolished and rebuilt to provide an eight-storey building housing 54,885 sq ft of space.

The scheme increases the amount of office space at the site by 23,000 sq ft to 47,254 sq ft with retail on the ground floor.

The Crown Estate’s plans have now been referred to the Greater London Authority for approval.
