Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner has exchanged contracts to lease all of the office space in Governors House, EC4, the 125,000 sq ft office building at 5 Laurence Pountney Hill.
The building, owned by Cyprus-incorporated firm Medholdings Company, will be the new London headquarters for the recently merged UK and US law firms Berwin Leighton Paisner and Bryan Cave.
It was previously occupied by M&G on a lease expiring in March. M&G is moving its headquarters to Generali Real Estate’s 420,000 sq ft at 10 Fenchurch Avenue, EC3.
In a statement, BCLP said the move represented “a significant commitment by the firm to a modern, flexible working space, encouraging of collaborative working.”
BCLP is based at Adelaide House, EC4, the 160,000 sq ft office building at London Bridge, where it has a lease expiring in Mary 2019. The building is owned on a long leasehold by St Martins Property, the UK-based real estate investment vehicle of the State of Kuwait.
BCLP formed on 1 April, with around 1,600 lawyers in 11 countries.
