Landid and Brockton agree second Spaces let in Slough

Flexible workspace provider Spaces is to take 32,000 sq ft of office space at Landid and Brockton’s The Porter building in Slough, Berkshire.

Spaces will take half of the ground floor and the entire second floor at the UK’s first WELL certified office building.

Other tenants in the building, which is located opposite Slough rail station, include financial services firm Fiserv.

It is the second deal between Spaces and jv partners Landid and Brockton. Last year Spaces took 20,000 sq ft at the jv’s Charter Building in Uxbridge.

Chris Hiatt, director at Landid, said: “Spaces’ co-working environment will bring a new way of working to the town and reinforce the building’s and area’s attractiveness to occupiers who value connectivity, character, great amenities and the health and well-being of their employees.”

Richard Morris, UK chief executive of Spaces, added: “Demand for flexible office space is growing rapidly – our research shows that 53% of professionals globally now work remotely for at least half their working week and 30% of corporate real estate portfolios could be flexible workspace by 2030.

“People now recognise that they can be far more productive and successful in a dynamic working environment, while businesses are waking up to the financial and strategic benefits – driving a workplace revolution in Britain.”

CBRE and Knight Frank are letting agents for The Porter Building.
