Channel 4 has shortlisted seven possible locations for its new national headquarters and a total of 13 locations in the UK for its two creative hubs.
Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow and the West Midlands are all possibilities for the relocation of the broadcaster as part of its “4 All the UK” strategy, which will see Channel 4 significantly increase its Nations & Regions content spend from its current quota of 35% to a new voluntary target of 50% by 2023.
More than 30 submissions were received by Channel 4 when it asked local governments to pitch earlier this year.
Channel 4 will make a decision on its new locations in October, following a further period of consultation, and is aiming to move into its new HQ by the end of 2019.
