Savills has boosted its Scottish operations by hiring Montagu Evans’ offices agency team in Scotland, which will see two partners depart after 16 years in senior roles at the firm.
The three-strong team comprises partners, Mike Irvine and Hugh Rutherford, and associate Colin McGhee. They resigned last week.
Irvine and Rutherford will join Savills’ Edinburgh office as directors after six-month notice periods, while McGhee will join the Glasgow office as an associate director after three months’ gardening leave.
Irvine and Rutherford both joined Montagu Evans in 2002.
The agency team’s landlord clients include M&G, QVL, Triuva, Northwood Investors, Catalyst Capital, Aberdeen Asset Management, Mapeley and Buccluech Property.
It also acts for occupiers including Heineken, Bank of Montreal, BT, Wood Mackenzie and NHS Lothian.
Rob Bower, managing partner of Montagu Evans, said: “We’re sorry to see Hugh, Mike and Colin leave the firm, but this was a very amicable decision and one we fully support.”
Savills declined to comment.
