Alex Soskin of the Savills London development land team and two friends undertook a 14-day charity trek across the Himalayas to Everest Base Camp for the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation.
The trio raised more than £17,500 for the international non-government organisation, which is dedicated to helping alleviate child poverty in Vietnam and Mongolia.
Obstacle challenge to attract industry ninjas
MediaCityUK has joined forces with JLL to launch the first MediaCityUK Urban Challenge obstacle course.
Taking place on Friday, 13 July, the course has been masterminded by ex-SAS celebrity TV trainer Rob Edmond, who has led many unique urban adventure experiences across the world.
More than 1,000 participants are expected to take part, in challenges which include monkey bars, a ninja wall, a Tarzan swing into water, cargo net climbs and a giant water slide.
The Urban Challenge event will be fundraising for charitable causes including the Tim Bacon Foundation and Crisis, JLL’s nominated charity.

Carter Jonas helps to leave a legacy
Teams from Carter Jonas joined cyclists from across the UK’s business community to raise £16,500 for the youth homelessness charity LandAid.
Now in its fifth year, some 300 cyclists from more than 120 companies tackled the 80-mile Yorkshire Challenge, or the 60- or 40-mile social route through the Yorkshire countryside as part of the Tour de France legacy ride.
To date, the ride has raised more than £61,000.

A group of 58 delegates arrived at the 2018 British Council for Offices conference in Berlin by bike. The cyclists rode 250 miles across Denmark and Germany in three days, raising more than £19,000 for UK children’s charity Bernardo’s.
CBRE charity walk
CBRE has raised more than £6,500 on a walk through London’s 33 boroughs. Nearly 200 employees and clients took part in the walk in aid of Action for Children and Haven House hospice.
A bit of Dacorum
Aitchisons Estate Agents helped raise more than £14,500 for homelessness charity Dacorum Dens at the third Hemel Hillbuster cycling event. More than 450 riders cycled two routes around the Chilterns countryside. Other sponsors included Halfords, Ocado and KPMG.
