Blackpool Council is seeking a funding partner for a £300m project at the Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone.
The council is expected to gain funding on 18 June for an initial £28.8m to pump into the scheme and will use government-backed borrowing to bring the scheme forward.
The 25-year project will include 29m sq ft of development.
The initial funding from the council will be used to install infrastructure and begin the phased refurbishment and redevelopment of the 1.3m sq ft Wellington bomber factory.
Mark Smith, cabinet member for regeneration, enterprise and economic development said: “The enterprise zone has the potential to dramatically change the economic landscape of the Fylde Coast and Blackpool Council is committed to delivering a premier business location within the north west that will sustain long term economic growth and investment.”
