HB Reavis has appointed Joe Martin, former head of construction at Argent, as UK construction director.
Martin, who was head of construction for the King’s Cross development, will lead all of HB Reavis’s construction projects in the UK, including the 945,000 sq ft Elizabeth House scheme next to Waterloo station, SE1.
Prior to HB Reavis and Argent, Martin was at Kier Construction Major Projects for 19 years.
Radim Rimanek, group deputy chief executive of HB Reavis, said: “We look forward to welcoming Joe on board to strengthen our leadership team that has already delivered three high-profile London office developments in the last six months.
“His expertise with projects of large scale and complexity is what we need for ambitious future developments in London.”
Elizabeth House is HB Reavis’s fourth London project. In December, the company completed the 226,000 sq ft 33 Central, EC1, which was sold to Wells Fargo.
It also refurbished the 78,000 sq ft Cooper & Southwark office building on 61 Southwark Street, SE1.
It is currently developing 20 Farringdon Street, EC4, an 85,000 sq ft office building, which is set to complete this year.
