UKKA appoints interim chief executive

UK build-to-rent trade organisation UKAA has appointed Dave Butler as interim chief-executive, following the resignation of Michael Green.

Butler takes up the post effective immediately and will serve until the end of 2018.

He was previously director of strategy and change at UK residential property business Grainger for just over four years, having joined the company in 2009. He was also director at LMS Consultants where he led the British Property Federation’s REITA campaign for nearly five-and-a-half years.

The campaign, an awareness group for real estate investment trusts, was introduced in 2006.

He is currently operations director for Viventi Capital Management, and he returned to work for LMS Consultants in December 2016.

In May, Green agreed with the board to work three days per week and will depart by the end of the year. He plans to pursue non-executive director positions and increased charity work.

UKAA has 500 individual members and 155 companies.
