Keyland Developments has sold a 16-acre site near Leeds with planning consent for 265,000 sq ft of mixed-use space to Total Developments.
The site, sold for an undisclosed sum, secured planning permission in January for eight units of office, industrial and storage and distribution space outside Leeds city centre off the A63.
It forms part of the Aire Valley Leeds Area Action Plan – the regeneration planning framework for 400ha of development outside Leeds city centre, which was adopted by the local council last November.
Ryan Unsworth, development manager at Keyland Developments, said: “The shortage of industrial accommodation across the wider Yorkshire area is well known. Bringing forward this development will significantly help to manage the lack of available new industrial space.
“To have completed the sale so soon after successfully securing the planning permission is an excellent result and has facilitated the delivery of a major regeneration scheme to contribute to the region’s economic prosperity.”
Gent Visick advised Keyland Developments. M1 Agency advised Total Developments.
