Facebook has finalised its move to a new 611,000 sq ft base at King’s Cross Central, N1.
The social media firm will occupy three buildings on a site owned by the Argent-led King’s Cross Central Partnership – a site known as P2, which had previously been earmarked for the development of a cultural centre by the Aga Khan Development Network, 11 Canal Reach and 21 Canal Reach (pictured above).
Facebook is due to open its office in 2021 after the move was proposed last November.
By taking space at King’s Cross Central it will neighbour fellow tech giant Google.

Facebook has also recently opened a 247,000 sq ft office at Rathbone Place, W1, developed by Great Portland Estates and sold to Deka for £435m.
Rob Cookson, head of global real estate at Facebook, said: “The UK is one of the best places in the world to be a technology company, and Facebook has benefitted from that since we arrived in 2007.
“Our base in London has grown from four people to become our biggest engineering hub outside of the US, and by the end of this year, 2,300 people will be working for Facebook in the UK.
“We chose King’s Cross because it has considerable expansion opportunities, great transportation access, and is part of a vibrant community.”
