Tudor Toone founder departs

One of the co-founders of Tudor Toone has left the business with immediate effect.

Mike Toone has left the partnership that he established 23 years ago with Rob Tudor and is setting up his own advisory consultancy.

The remaining partners at Tudor Toone are Ben Goodberry, Tudor, Alastair Tyrell and Antony Leech, with two additional fee earners, Hugh Faith and Lee Evans.

The West End-based niche investment-focused firm is one of the most respected in the UK. Its clients include CBRE GI, Hermes and the Crown Estate and it operates across all sectors nationwide.

It is currently in the process of selling AEW Europe’s £140m Equinox portfolio of South East offices and last year transacted around £2bn of stock.

It is understood to have had a number of approaches from larger advisory firms over the past year but the Tudor Toone partners are keen to remain independent.

The business is expected to rebrand at some point in the next year.

Toone’s new consultancy business, MTRE, will focus on alternatives and in particular student accommodation, retirement living and mixed-use developments as well as build-to-rent.
